Important to know

This is risk profiling, not diagnosis.

Your report describes genetic tendencies relative to a reference population. It does not tell you that you have a disease, or that you will develop one.

Risk profiling

Helps you understand whether you may have a higher or lower genetic tendency for a reported trait, so you have more context for wellness choices and conversations.

Diagnosis

Determines whether a condition is present using clinical evaluation, medical testing and professional interpretation. This DNA Kit does not do this.

Example: “Higher tendency” means your genetic predisposition is higher relative to the reference population. It does not mean you have the condition.

Your results

Made to be used, not filed away.

Your reports are digital, easy to revisit, and paired with a 30 minute nutritionist consultation to help you understand and use your results.

    Questions

    The basics, answered simply.

What do I get with the DNA Kit?

You’ll receive an at-home cheek swab kit, a personalised digital report covering 109 wellness traits, and a 30-minute nutritionist consultation to help you understand your results.

What do I need to do after receiving the kit?

Complete the cheek swab, place it back into the kit, seal it in the prepaid polymailer provided, and drop it into a SingPost posting box. Once your results are ready, you’ll receive your digital report and can book your consultation.

Who should do the DNA Test?

This DNA test is suitable for someone who:

    • Wants to understand their body better
    • Has tried different diets or workouts and wonders why results vary
    • Wants more personalised wellness guidance
    • Is interested in nutrition, fitness, weight management or skin wellness
Why should I choose the Company of Wellness DNA Kit?

We help you get to know your body better through your DNA. With just one test, you can discover how your genes may influence four key areas: your skin, weight management, nutrition and fitness.

The results can help you make more personalised choices, from selecting suitable skincare, planning your diet, managing your weight, to choosing exercises that may work better for you. Instead of relying only on trial and error, you will have insights based on your own genetic profile to guide your wellness journey.

What are the differences of Company of Wellness DNA Kit compared to the other brands?

We bring skin, weight management, nutrigenomics and fitness-related insights together in one easy-to-understand report. The report does not simply give you raw genetic data. It explains what your results may mean and how you can use the information in everyday life.

Different DNA-test brands may analyse different genetic markers and cover different areas. What makes this DNA test useful is its practical, personalised approach and the professional guidance available to help you understand your results.

How accurate is the result from Company of Wellness DNA Kit?

We work with PathGene who uses your DNA sample to analyse selected genetic markers related to skin, nutrition, weight management and fitness. Quality checks are carried out before your report is issued to ensure that the sample and genetic data meet the required standards.

However, your results show genetic tendencies rather than guaranteed outcomes. For example, your genes may suggest a tendency towards certain skin characteristics or weight-management challenges, but your actual results will also depend on your diet, exercise, sleep, environment, age and lifestyle.

Think of us as a guide to help you understand your body and make better-informed wellness choices. It is not intended to diagnose a medical condition or replace advice from a qualified healthcare professional.

Will my DNA results tell me exactly what I should eat or how I should exercise?

Not exactly. Your DNA results show genetic tendencies, rather than giving you a fixed diet or exercise plan. Your genetics are only one part of the picture. Lifestyle, environment, diet, sleep, stress and other factors also play an important role.

How long will it take to receive my results?

Results are typically available within 30 working days after the laboratory receives your sample. You will be notified via email when your report is ready.

Do my DNA results change over time?

Your genetic profile generally remains the same throughout your life. This means your DNA report can continue to serve as a useful reference even as your lifestyle, health goals and habits change.

What if I don't understand my report?

You can book a 30-minute nutrition consultation to go through your results with our nutritionist. The consultation helps you focus on the results most relevant to your eating habits, lifestyle and goals and turn them into practical next steps.

How is my genetic information kept private?

Your genetic information and test results are kept confidential and protected with appropriate security measures. They are only accessed or shared when needed to provide your DNA test and related services, in accordance with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).

What should I do if my results indicate high risk?

Don’t panic. High tendency to a certain trait does not guarantee you will develop a disease. Instead, use it as a wake-up call to:

    • Adopt a healthier lifestyle
    • Monitor your health regularly
    • Seek medical advice if necessary

You can’t change your DNA, but you can improve your habits to lower your risk.

Can I still develop diseases if I am at low genetic risk?

Yes. Genetics is just one factor, lifestyle choices matter. For example, even if you have a low genetic risk for lung cancer, smoking significantly increases your chances of developing the disease. By combining genetic insights with the right lifestyle choices, you can lower your overall risk of disease.
